A documentary about radical female artists, then and now, whose work is concerned with gender, sex and the body. The artists featured here are Ono Yoko, a forerunner in feminist art, followed by British artists Tracey Emin and Sarah Lucas, musician Kathleen Hanna, video artists Sadie Benning and Pippilotti Rist and French plastic surgeon artist Orlan. The interviews express the content of “Girl Power,” turning the female body from an object of male desire into a powerful weapon against established values.
