SYNOPSIS

Gertrudis Vázquez, a ¡®black and ugly but honest¡¯ old lady, calmly recounts her past. Just like any of our grandmothers, she has lived a troubled life. Her parents had broken free from the white Americans. She had been abused by her husband for her sterility, and later became a widow. She took care of the farm on her own, struggling to get over the drought, and is now enjoying living on her own. Her life is a living example that shows us how great and hard it is to survive. One of the shorts selected in this year¡¯s Sundance Film Festival. (Jenna Ku)
