SYNOPSIS

What is needed here and now for success-no, for survival-as a woman? The happenings around the scales in the classroom are funny but not simply something to be laughed at. The ¡®sharpen up your looks¡¯ program forced on a graduating class in a girls¡¯ commercial high school , and the demands of the prospective superiors on the applicants that have to stand in a straight line before them are clearly another regulating program of ¡®woman-making¡¯ that is forced on women by this world of nonstop competition and consumer capitalism. The director¡¯s fresh wit takes us behind our society¡¯s obsession with good looks. (Byun Jai-ran)
