SYNOPSIS

The ever insatiable Angelina lives in a small city and works in a crisp bread factory. Her world is filled with dull, repetitive work at the factory, the sexual harassment from her factory boss, her selfish boyfriend and the dullness of the city she lives in. One day at the Flamingo, the pub where Angelina hangs out at night, her friends recommend Angelina to place a personal ad. She entitles the ad ¡°looking for a new man¡±, which triggers off a set of unexpected event - the most exciting thing being Maria, Angelina¡¯s unexpected new roommate. A lesbian romantic comedy about self-discovery. (Kwon Eun-sun)

  • Nanna HuolmanNanna Huolman

    Born in 1970, Nanna Huolman studied at the Goteborg HFF. She works as an independent filmmaker and since 1997 has directed short films, videos and documentaries. In particular, her documentary Minna, 17 (1997) achieved remarkable success and was awarded with the Best Film Prize at the 1998 SFV-festivalen. Flamingo has been presented at many international film festivals and won the Mona d¡¯Oro at the 2004 Berlin Lesben Film Festival.
