The sound of a radio is jarring and grating. A hand writes the word “ME(我)”, erases it, and then writes it again. Confused about how to write the Chinese character “我” due to its complicated composition, she finally succeeds in finding the complete “我”. This short, straight-forward experimental piece wittily shows the difficulty of finding self. (Billy Choi)

Soo You is a graduate student from Graduate School of Applied Media Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts. Since 2002, she has directed more than 10 films, mainly documentaries and experimental works. Her filmography includes The Man with a Helmet (2002), Min-Hui’s Shield (2003), The Seesaw (2004) and The Birds (2006).
