SYNOPSIS

A baby appears in the middle of the night at an antique shop and begins to dance on top of a music box. The baby¡¯s name, as the title suggests, may as well be Betty. She (according to the director) is a ¡®small and ugly, yet adorable girl.¡¯ However, Betty is not a girl but a baby doll whose sex and sexual identity is difficult to discern. Her ugly face and awkward gestures creates a cacophonous discordance with the music box fantasy, resisting the gazes of the customers standing in front of the show window and also the audience who are watching an animated film. (Kim Joon-yang)
