Lucky Strike

SYNOPSIS

Flying to Canada to study, a newly-wed couple arrives at an apartment that they leased in advance from a Korean landlord, but the apartment is occupied by a middle-aged women who has no idea on its rental situation arranged by her ex-husband. Temporarily sharing the apartment together is the only choice they have. The bride gets curious about the past of the woman who is watching TV all day and smoking Lucky Strikes, while the groom is only bothered by her presence. When the bride finds the woman\'s pictures and letters from her newlywed days, she sees her present from the woman\'s past, and the future from the woman\'s present. After the woman leaves the apartment the groom is happy. But the bride takes a cigarette from a pack of Lucky Strikes the woman left behind and watches TV just as the woman did. (Billy Choi)

    Born in 1971. Graduated from Catholic University majoring in Korean Literature in 1994. Co-wrote the script of (Working title), a feature film by the director Oh Seung-uk in 2002. is her first directing work.
