SYNOPSIS

A graduation project of director Heba Bassem from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, Baghdad Days is a visual diary. Returning to a devastated Baghdad to finish college, Bassem captures on film with an honest eye the situations that she encounters in a war-torn Baghdad. Filled with personal visions that portray the stresses and tears in her psychic landscape, this film can be said to be a form of personal documentary. However, it is also a powerful window into the political turmoil gripping Iraq. (KWON Eun-sun)

    Heba Bassem was born in Kirkuk, North of Iraq. She studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, Cinema Department. In October 2004 She join the Independent Film and TV College on documentary course in Baghdad and here graduation film was(Baghdad Days) November 2005 Heba works as Assistant Director on a soap opera \"Candle\'s House\" at the Iraqi National TV after here graduation. Currently Heba works as a presenter of a cultural program at Al Horrah satellite TV station.
