Learning from each other, their relationship is developed like between a grandpa and a granddaughter. Liu has a son whom he puts out because he is a gay and ZhenZhen helps Liu and his son reconcile each other. In the meantime, her mother gets pocket money very meaningful for ZhenZhen as a present from ZhenZhen and has courage to care each other and live with her daughter. The Way We Write is a warm-hearted film about how a child’s innocence untwists the complicated and entangled thread around a family. It is the first feature film of director WEN Shiow Ying who used to make activist documentaries. (KIM Sunah)
