SYNOPSIS

Me, the movie director, hired a young lady, Lakshmi, as a housemaid. She always concentrates her work and just say ¡°hi¡± to Lakshmi whenever she comes to work at director¡¯s house. But one day She decides to make a documentary about Lakshmi who comes from a lower social class and different culture and is much younger than herself. After a while, She falls interested into Lakshmi through the camera and discovers the lifestyle of the low-class society in India as She accompanies Lakshmi. Furthermore, She finds out that Lakshmi works for other families when she does not come to director¡¯s house and she supports her poor family, and her father who is an alcoholic. Lakshmi was married at a young age and has a daughter however her husband denies of being his child. As a result, Lakshmi runs away from her husband to the director¡¯s house. Filming other people¡¯s lives can lead to forming a relationship with them. Lakshmi and Me is a good work, a film with warm heart and concern shown to develop relationships with others.
