 Three interconnected stories about three women living in three different eras. Drifting FlowersS weaves a poetic tale of drifting as all the women seek their true identity. As time ebbs and flows, as love comes and goes, their journey towards finding themselves never ends.

 Official selection for Panorama section of the 2008 Berlinale. This film is the latest by Zero Chou, the director of Spider Lilies, which won the 2007 Teddy Award, an award given to the best queer film in Berlinale. It is one of the recent Asian queer films which attract the world¡¯s attention. The film is a collection of three stories - those of four lesbians: Jing, Diego, May, and Lily; it follows them as they search for their true identity.The first episode: a blind Jing has to take care of her 8-year-old sister, May. Jing meets Diego and falls in love but May also falls in love with her. The sisters¡¯ misunderstandings and conflicts increase. In the second episode, Lily has contracted a paper marriage with her gay friend Yen and she has been the lesbian lover of Ocean. It¡¯s been a while since Ocean has passed away, but Lily who suffers from Alzheimer¡¯s disease, still waits for Ocean to return. The third episode goes back in time and features Diego¡¯s childhood. Young Lily meets young Diego. This film blends poetic visuals with classic melodrama. (Jay SOHN)
