SYNOPSIS

Synopsis
Korea is a society with strict hierarchy of age: one wouldn¡¯t even call a friend a person older by one year. In this society, a child doesn¡¯t mean a complete personality. But this animation describes childhood as part of you accompanying yourself throughout the life. Some children become friends with their own beings as grown-ups from the future, while other children are oppressed or ignored at least by their own future beings.

Program Note
Korea is a society with strict hierarchy of age: one wouldn¡¯t even call a friend a person older by one year. In this society, a child doesn¡¯t mean a complete personality. But this short film describes childhood as part of you accompanying yourself throughout the life. It is not seen as something that disappears. Some children become friends with their own beings as grown-ups from the future, while other children are oppressed or ignored at least by their own future beings. This animated film works as a time microscope that magnifies the history of us being kept under the shadow. (Joon Yang KIM)
