SYNOPSIS

One day, all of a sudden, ¡®I¡¯ wonder how a human being has to live. ¡®I¡¯ start paying attention to people around her. And then, ¡®I¡¯ gradually find out tiny tragedies embedded in life one by one.

The director, who has become sensitive to sadness and unhappiness in the world, captures the stories of people closest to her on camera in order to understand this tragedy. The camera goes deep into their lives by going back and forth between the younger sibling who suffers from depression, the mother who once dreamed of becoming a novelist but is now focused on investment techniques, and the grandmother who spent her entire life holding ancestral rites for the deceased. The gloomy but not so hopeless attitude and the inserts of scenery that resonate strangely with the jumble of emotions from the camera and the subjects are impressive. The film is all the more beautiful because it is loyal to the root of documentary which is to listen to the voices of the voiceless. (KIM Hyeyoung)
