 Program Note
Ji-hyun, a new nurse, witnesses Mr. Park, director of the hospital, sexually abuse a patient who came in for endoscope under conscious sedation by injecting anesthetics. She and her coworkers install a hidden camera and find out that sexual abuses take place on regular basis. However, reporting on it is made difficult with opposition from her coworkers as well as the victims. The film, based on a real incident, dramatically shows a situation in which righteousness and virtue lose their ways due to an incident’s complexity. Ji-hyun saw everything but cannot punish the abuser. Her helplessness is cruel, but having to watch Jihyun make a decision in order to free herself, is even crueler. (KIM Hyeyoung)
