SYNOPSIS

Hyun-young moves into the cheap and shabby neighborhood in Seoul with her broken bicycle. She asks her neighborhood to find a bicycle shop. Getting to the bycicle shop, she finds a bicycle repairman Min-woo.

Hyun-young moves to a shabby neighborhood of Seoul with her broken bicycle. The outskirts of Seoul seems bleak and dangerous to her. However, she can neither leave that town nor quit her part-time job there. The city is harsh and arid but it is beautiful as well. The little bit of warmth that this film, which aridly portrays the city and the ordinary life of the precarious young generation, cannot let go of until the end is Hyun-young¡¯s fluttering heart towards Min-woo. The scenery of Seoul that Hyun-young sees while wandering the city on her bicycle before setting out to meet Min-woo represents her ambivalent feelings towards the city. (HWANG Miyojo)
