17-year-old Mi-jin, being sick and tired of her young and egocentric mother, dreams of a different life than mother\'s. However, her mother comes back home in seven months, becoming pregnant. Working a part-time job, she tries to find a way to escape from her situation and plans to go on a trip with her friend, but to make things worse, she is swindled.

Everyday life is stifling for the 17-year-old Mi-jin. Her immature mother, who left home without a notice and who had not even kept in touch, returns home after an unplanned pregnancy. Mi-jin is saving money to go on a trip with her friend Soo-jeong but unlike Mi-jin, Soo-jeong seems indifferent. To make matters worse, she is swindled out of the money that she had been saving. The despair of life without an exit in the outskirts of Seoul, and the daughter’s feeling of love and hate towards her mother is aridly but tensely portrayed. (HWANG Miyojo)
