SYNOPSIS

 Synopsis
Irma walks up and down the aisles of a market repeating a list of ingredients to herself. She can remember the first four but keeps forgetting the fifth ingredient.

 Program Note
While grocery shopping, Irma¡¯s mind goes blank as she tries to remember the fifth ingredient on her shopping list. Irma persistently struggles to remember the last ingredient, but as she tries harder, she only falls deeper into her tangled memory. The five ingredients further invoke her past memories, and the emotions that were lost to her arise through associations between the memories. In her mind, she wonders through her past from her childhood which was stained with humiliation, to a time at a funeral in which pretence and sincerity intersected, and finally arrives at the last stop of her memory. The brilliant set-up that connects grocery shopping and recalling of memory is stylishly materialized through free flowing imagination and sensuous direction. What may have been lost may be the flavor of our lives. (LEE Hyo-jeong)
