Synopsis
One peaceful morning, while young mother and little daughter lounge around, the phone rings. Mother hurriedly prepares to go out as picking clothes and putting on makeup. But her daughter starts whining claiming she wants to stay home for the day. In the end, daughter goes inside the bathroom and locks the door. When mother drags out her daughter in her sleep, the doorbell rings. What’d be her choice?

Program Note
Mother’s lover is supposed to visit her, but she has to go out, leaving her child, before he comes. The child stands firm in staying home, and mother finds herself in a sticky situation. In Fitting Room, the mother experiences a conflict between being both a ‘mother’ and a ‘woman who is dating’, and the film shows that it is possible to harmonize the role of a dating mother in a family by centering itself around the mother-daughter relationship, rather than around the drama that the conflict brings about. [HWANG Miyojo]
