The short documentary Two Girls against the Rain by female Cambodian filmmaker Sao SOPHEAK is the first locally produced documentary which gives a voice to members of the lesbian community. It is a true story about two women struggling hard for their love.

Two Girls against the Rain is a documentary about the enduring love between a Cambodia lesbian couple in their fifties. Soth YUN and Sem EANG met during the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime, where more than two million people died. Their struggle against stigmatization by fellow villagers and their family, and their lifelong commitment to each other through thick and thin, are truly touching. [HONG So-in]
