SYNOPSIS

¡°Menopause is when a woman¡¯s life begins!¡± With these words, Therese CLERC starts to describe her experience of ageing. 85 years old, Therese is a militant feminist whose passion for politics and women¡¯s rights has driven her life. Rebel Menopause is the intimate portrait of an extraordinary woman and her inspiring ideas on ageing as a ¡®time of complete freedom¡¯.

The expression ¡®menopause¡¯ make people think that the end of menstruation indicates the end of a woman¡¯s life, the end of happiness given to a
human being, and the end of a woman¡¯s self-respect. Yet, Therese, 85-year-old, thinks that is absurd. Rather, she invites us to her ¡®Baba Yaga House¡¯
project for women over 65 to join the festival where women begin their life afresh and vigorously with ¡®meno-complete¡¯, not meno-pause. [LEE Angela]
