SYNOPSIS

Having to move out of her dorm, Nam-eun decides
 to go look for an apartment with her best friend Heesoo.
 On their way to the apartment, they joke around,
 take photos and have a good time. Little does Hee-soo
 know that, for some reason, Nam-eun actually a little
 weirded out by the things Hee-soo says.

Program Note

Nam-eun, who is moving out of the dorms,
 goes apartment-hunting with her best friend Hee-soo. Under the vast Seoul sky,
 there is an abundance of houses but not one place that can accommodate only one
 person, and the price of a cup of iced latte is also ridiculously expensive.
 The apartment that the friend of Hee-soo’s aunt introduced them to requires a
 deposit of 10,000,000 KRW and a monthly rent of 500,000 KRW, faces south, comes
 furnished, and has a convenience store nearby. Although Nam-eun really likes
 the place, the monthly rent is beyond what she can afford. However, she also
 can’t bear to say out loud that she cannot sign the lease. Hee-soo is
 exasperated by the fact that Nam-eun keeps giving her other petty excuses,
 while Nam-eun finds the fact that Hee-soo lives without ever worrying about
 money a little detestable. Both the director’s ability to unfold the story and
 the two actress’ effortless acting truly stand out in the film. [KANG Ba-da]
