SYNOPSIS

Sixteen year-old daughter Paula who is CODA (Child
 of Deaf Adults) in the Bélier family. When Paula follows
 her classmate Gabriel, her love at first sight and joins
 the school choir, she discovers her natural talent in
 music. She is encouraged by her music teacher to participate in a prestigious singing contest in Paris, but
 pursuing her passion requires Paula to abandon her
 family-related duties such as helping out at the family
 farm and being the interpreter for her parents and
 brother. Paula\'s coming-of-age story, which depicts her dilemma between family and her passion for singing,
 is all the more touching and captivating as it resembles
 the personal experiences of Louane EMERA, who, like
 her onscreen character Paula, has made her music
 career debut at a French music competition program,
 The Voice.

 different characters, choosing the musical film genre
 with its highly positive audience response, and the
 flawless directing that went into the great pacing
 of the romance in the movie - these are definitely
 the essential reasons why the film was the massive
 success it was. Hopefully more movies and films in a
 wider variety of genres will be reproduced in barrierfree
