SYNOPSIS
A school where every student is a “cow.” The school classifies the students based on their grades, and those who get a high grade can become human. Among all the students who all work hard to become human, those with low grades are taken away. Where are they going? In a society where endless competition is instigated on the sole basis of grades, what does it mean to be a human that society demands? It means that you must push your friends down to pull yourself up. In other words, it results in a society where friendships are impossible. This experimental short film takes the metaphor of “cows” and “human” and materializes it with props such as masks and feed, red lighting, and quick editing, and daringly denounces the abusive environment and society that forces humans to lose their humanity and dignity. Produced her first ever film I’m Pretty in Myself in 2015. Since then, joined efforts with great individuals from Gyeonggi High School of Arts to create The Great Student. I will continue to work hard to make movies, which I love so much.
