SYNOPSIS

After a good ten years of practice of not looking inside her own feelings since her parents¡¯ divorce, the director finds a massive difference in the ways of dealing with divorce between Korea and the United States during her visit to the United States in 2017. In doing so, she is naturally driven to look into those neglected wounds one by one. She expresses the source of each of those wounds in an articulate language, and transforms them using various colors, typography, and animation. She then says goodbye to those wounded times in a most graceful manner. [AHN Boyoung]

Film is yet another way for me to express myself. Through film, I can express and disclose at any time the thoughts I cannot say, and the subjects I cannot talk about because of pressure from the opinions of the majority and the social atmosphere. As an inexperienced yet bold female teenage filmmaker, I attempt to uncover social issues from the perspective of a social minority by directing works across genres, from documentary, experimental film, to animation.
