SYNOPSIS

The social benefits guaranteed under the institution of marriage are restricted for the sexual minorities. For instance, if one partner in a couple gets sick, the other partner cannot be their legal guardian. This film reaches sophisticated critical points through interviews with people whose wish is a life with their loved one. Institutionalized welfare should be provided for everyone. It is wrong that the present system in which a life with a loved one needs to be approved by the state. The director performs a symbolic ceremony for the ¡®marriage registry,¡¯ which codifies the contradictions of the institution of marriage, together with her colleagues. [CHAE Heesuk]
