One morning, Ye-min’s school uniform which was hung in the yard goes missing. Ye-min goes after people she suspects, but is unable to find her uniform. That afternoon, a uniform is delivered to her house. Who could have brought it there? The director, with her exceptional talent in capturing the daily lives of teenagers, once again shows in MJ, following her 2010 film A Brand New Journey, how our daily lives can be embraced and captured through the lens of a camera. But neither film misses out on how in reality, our childhoods or our daily lives are not all that cordial after all. [Jay SOHN]
