Director

  • Anna COSTA E SILVA
    Anna Costa e Silva (Rio de Janeiro, 1988) works with constructed situations between people that challenge the limits between reality and fiction, self and other, experience and memory. Her projects happen in the intersections between visual, performing arts and social practice and unfold in films, installations or ephemeral situations. Anna holds an MFA in Visual Arts from the School of Visual Arts, NY, and has won awards such as FOCO ArtRio fair, American Austrian Award and was a PIPA prize nominee twice. In 2022, her work is featured at the Mercosul Biennial and winner of Terremoto Ubisoft artist residency. Among her solo shows are ¡°Ether¡± at São Paulo Cultural Center and ¡°I offer company¡± at Superfície Gallery. Her work has been shown at BienalSur (Buenos Aires), Art in Odd Places (NY), Contemporary Art Center (Vilnius), Pivô, Oi Futuro, A Gentil Carioca (Brazil), among others and is part of public collections such as Rio de Janeiro Museum of Art. Anna also directed the TV documentary series Gaze about contemporary artists for Arte1 channel.
  • Nanda FÉLIX
    Nanda Félix is a writer, director, actress and therapist. Graduated in performing arts, Félix has an extensive career in theater as an actress and director. Her film, <i>Riff-Raff</i> (script and direction) had it`s debut at Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2021 among other important festivals such as Olhar de Cinema, Trinidad + Tobago Film Festival (best short movie fiction), New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival, Festival Primeiro Plano (best direction and script), Rio de Janeiro Int`l Film Festival. As an actress she worked in <i>Mehr Licht!</i> by Mariana Kaufman, which had its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2017. Nanda released her first book, Um País no Meio do Mar by the publisher 7 Letras (Brasil).
