Synopsis

Manok, a middle-aged lesbian bar owner, returns to her hometown in South Korea and runs against her ex-husband for village chief, trading rainbow lights for rural politics.

Director's Statement

Ever since COVID, going to the cinema has felt strangely unfamiliar—I usually just sneak in, watch a film alone, and slip out quietly. But I wanted to make a film where my friends, family, and community could be crammed into a theater together—laughing, shouting, and just having fun. A joyful, queer film for everyone.
Maybe it¡¯s a bit selfish of me... but hey, can you blame me for wanting that?
