Former editor of film magazines, including Screen and Movie Week, she is active as a film journalist in various fields. Her book is About True Heart of Films (Aflat Book, 2019) and she wrote and directed her short film, Tidal (2020).

Her documentary film, The Knitting Club (2015) earned the NAWFF award from the Network of Asian Women’s Film Festivals in 2016 and the Best Documentary Award from the Woman in Film Korea Awards in 2017. Like a Rolling Stone (2018) won the Best Korean Film award from the 20th SIWFF and the Audience Award from the 15th EBS International Documentary Film Festival. Let’s Peace! (2019) opened the 11th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival.
