  • JEON Go-woon

    Director

    Jeon won First Prize at the SIWFF for her graduate film of Konkuk University, Too Bitter to Love (2008). Later, she entered the Graduate School of the Korean National University of Arts in filmmaking major and created Bad Scene (2012). She also produced The King of Jokgu (2013) and The Queen of Crime (2016) in the creative group Gwanghwamun Cinema. She made her feature debut with Microhabitat (2017) and also directed an episode entitled Kiss is the Sin in the omnibus film Persona (2018).

  • KIM Jin-yeoul

    Director

    Born in 1974, Kim studied directing at GSAIM, Chung-Ang University. She received the New Documentarist Award for Land, to Make Rice (2000) at the Seoul Intl. Documentary Video and Film Festival. Kim has also directed Forgotten Warriors (2004), Jin-ok Sister Goes to School (2007), and Cruel State (2015).

  • SAITO Ayako

    Professor Meiji Gakuin University

    Saito is a professor at Meiji Gakuin University, specializing in feminist film theory and criticism. Having graduated from UCLA with a PhD in critical studies, she has written extensively about the work of such directors as Alfred Hitchcock, Chantal Akerman among others, as well as about the representation of women mainly in post-war Japanese cinema.

    SIWFF Programmer

    Former editor of film magazines, including Screen and Movie Week, she is active as a film journalist in various fields. Her book is About True Heart of Films (Aflat, 2019) and she wrote and directed her short film, Tidal (2020).
