Clara Law, the reputed female director of the Hong Kong New Wave, including the film Floating Life, an eternal masterpiece of the Asian diaspora in Australian cinema, will discuss her aesthetics and directing philosophy. She will also share her director's story about the location of the film and its sense of migration.

Centering around director Gina Kim’s VR and ARM XR works screened as part of “Remembering Oblivion: The Immersive Cinema of Gina KIM,” Kim and writer Cha Jaemin will talk about spheres expanded by new media, especially in relation to new media experiences that mediate body and space, the representation of women and minorities, and writing history.
