The Queer Rainbow section is a platform that supports sexual diversity in cinema, shining a light on films that present the lives of sexual minority groups. This year the program features queer films from Korea, China, Japan, the Philippines and the United States. Glow Job (IM Cheolmin) is an experimental film that exudes a unique vitality and sensitivity while exploring the queer representation of ¡°exposing while hiding.¡± A Dog Barking at the Moon (XIANG Zi) tells the story of conflicts between a homosexual father and a mother who thinks it a disease, as told from the daughter¡¯s perspective. Zero As You Are (TOKOI Miyuki) depicts the kaleidoscopic life of an intersex queer person from teenage years to adulthood. Billie & Emma (Samantha LEE) is an innocent love story between Emma, who gets pregnant, and Billie, who is forced to transfer because she liked a girl. Wild Nights with Emily (Madeleine OLNEK) depicts the life and work of American poet Emily DICKINSON and her love for her brother¡¯s wife, Susan DICKINSON, expressed through light and theatrical direction. The five films are diverse in the representation of queer themes as well as in terms of genre, including experimental, drama, documentary, romance, and biographical narratives. The selected films will provide audiences with a true ¡®queer rainbow.¡¯
