Korean Panorama, Here & Now screens films by female directors and films with the theme of women made in Korea, casting light on contemporary discourses and styles. To look at the daily lives of contemporary women drawn in recent Korean movies from a feminist perspective, The Landscape of Here in Now, established in 2021, has been expanded into a broader Panorama section. Through what subject and format do Korean films here and now show the reality of women? And how do the works capture a woman's perspective? The works offer a vast and variegated spectrum, including feature films, documentaries, and animations. The audience can meet new works by female directors who have worked steadily for a long period, such as Where Would You Like to Go? and Sura: A Love Song. As well as five documentaries with honest views and attitudes toward the subject, such as Life Unrehearsed, Again the Wind Blows, Sandstorm, Time of Seeds, and Home Ground, will be screened. There are four feature films where the viewers can meet female narratives and characters: Next Sohee, A Tour Guide, No Heaven, But Love., and Hail to Hell. And it will be an excellent opportunity to watch all types of works that are difficult to find outside of film festivals, such as experimental documentaries and audiovisual essays. Hope the audiences face women of diverse ages, careers, and concerns and meet various formal attempts by female creators through Korean Panorama, Here & Now. [Programmer SON Sinae]
